Foundation History

The Minerva Foundation

The Calgary Family Christmas Ball has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Minerva Foundation. The Minerva Foundation was established in 1977 in memory of Jean Minerva Campbell. The Minerva Foundation is an organization dedicated to enriching the community and assisting individuals and families in need. Through the Minerva Foundation, donations from the Family Christmas Ball have supported local family-related charities.

Place2Give

As we move forward, the Family Christmas Ball Committee is looking forward to working with Place2Give. Place2Give provides philanthropy giving tools to North American donors. A public foundation, P2G was established in 2012 with the mandate to help donors address complex social issues through venture philanthropy projects, unique giving experiences, multi-generational legacy planning. The Family Christmas Ball Committee is excited to partner with Place2Give to continue support individuals and families in need.
